Castle Von Frandsen is a “real” castle under construction on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille in northern Idaho. The castle and nearby Frandsen Forrest are available for filming purposes and private events. The castle has been the site for a couple of minor filmings and The History Channel ("THC") has already done a program on the property. THC funded a portion of the costs of the bell tower up the mountain.

The castle is in vanilla shell state. It has granite walls both exterior and interior. Ceilings are beamed from timbers and there are stone fireplaces are on multiple levels. The bell tower has a circular stairway to the viewing level.

The site has 680+ feet of Lake Pend Oreille shore front, mostly cliff side. The views are stunning. The eagles make the castle forest trees home. Helicopter service is available from Spokane International Airport with advance notice and Castle Von Frandsen has landing space on the dock area.
