Search results are displayed in thumbnail layout, map layout, or list layout options. Select the display you prefer by clicking on the drop-down in the upper right navigation.

How does the "Enter Keyword" search work?

The keyword search functionality is available for those "vague" search requirements. It is a free-form field that searches across categories, sub-categories, styles, names, and looks for any exact mention of the word or phrase you have entered. To produce greater results, use single words, use the singular form of those words, and perform multiple searches. When entering multiple words in the keyword field, the order and combination of those words is important.

Consider these examples:
-- A search for house with pool will return all locations comprised of both a house and a pool. A search for house and pool will produce the same results as house with pool.
-- A search for cabin or lodge will return all locations that are either a cabin or a lodge. Similarly, a search for cabin, lodge (separated by a comma) will return all locations that are either a cabin or a lodge. A search for cabin lodge (with no comma) will return all locations that are either a cabin or a lodge.
-- A search for the exact phrase "garden with gazebo" (in quotation marks) will return only those locations that include those exact words in that exact order somewhere in the description of the location.
-- A search for historic will produce all types of historic locations while a search for "historic homes" (in quotation marks) will produce only historic homes.

For searches by specific state, city, category, sub-category, or style, please use the advanced search options. The advanced search functionality is based on standardized category and subcategories used by over 80 film commissions.

Whenever I try to log in, the login page just reloads and does not display an error message. Why is that happening?

The most common cause of this is that your browser is not set to accept cookies (a cookie is a text-only string that gets entered into the memory of your browser). LocationsHub requires that cookies are turned on so the application can track your session and know who you are as you use LocationsHub.

Instructions for turning on cookies in most web browsers can be found at "How to Enable Cookies" or "How to control cookies." For more information on cookies, see this Wikipedia entry.

The other possibility is you have a firewall or security system set up that is too strict. Either one could prevent cookies from being accepted or Javascript from being run. LocationsHub needs both cookies and javascript in order to function properly.
