The Historic Phillips Forest Products Sawmill is the oldest family owned sawmill in the state of Texas. Located on a clay hill between Avery and De kalb, Texas, the property consists of machinery installed in 1958 when Cecil Phillips opened the mill, log piles, stacks of lumber, burn piles, sawdust piles, old trucks for moving logs, and other industrial equipment. There are multiple buildings, some metal, some wood and all contain industrial machinery or wood. There are two wooden offices with relics from before 1958, all well preserved, to add authenticity of another time. In addition, there are three old wooden outhouses on site and burn barrels to keep warm in winter. The entire sawmill is ready to host your film or television production.
